Terms & Conditions
Effective Date: 27 August 2026
These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Connust, a peer-to-peer consumer-to-consumer (“C2C”) marketplace operated by Hope Tech Innovations PVT LTD and available through Android, iOS, and the Connust website. By creating an account, accessing, or using Connust, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. About Connust
Connust is a C2C marketplace that allows users to list, discover, bid on, buy, sell, and communicate about products and other lawful offerings. Connust provides the technology and marketplace infrastructure connecting users; it is not the seller or buyer of products listed by users.
Connust may provide account verification, trust and reputation features, bidding tools, messaging, reporting, and featured listing functionality.
2. Eligibility and Minimum Age
You must be at least 13 years old to create or use a Connust account. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you should use Connust only with the consent and involvement of a parent or legal guardian where required by applicable law.
By using Connust, you represent that you meet the applicable age requirement and have the legal capacity required to enter into these Terms.
3. Accounts and Account Security
To create a basic account, Connust may require your full name, email address, and phone number. You may also upload a profile picture. Connust may support Google sign-in and other authentication methods.
You may not create or maintain multiple Connust accounts for yourself, and you may not create accounts to evade restrictions, bans, verification requirements, or fraud-prevention measures. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for activity conducted through it. You must provide accurate information and must not impersonate another person or entity.
4. Identity Verification
Connust may offer identity verification using a government-issued identification document and a face selfie or other verification information.
Connust may approve or reject a verification request at its discretion. Verification is a trust and safety feature and does not guarantee that a user is trustworthy, honest, safe, or capable of completing a transaction.
Connust may create a cryptographic hash from information such as a CNIC number to help detect duplicate, fraudulent, or abusive accounts. Connust may retain identification information, including a CNIC number, where reasonably necessary for fraud prevention, security, dispute investigation, legal compliance, or other legitimate purposes described in the Privacy Policy.
Verification documents submitted for verification may be retained for a limited period, including up to 24 hours after verification or rejection, subject to legal, security, fraud-prevention, and retention requirements.
5. Trust Score and Reputation
Connust may calculate or display a Trust Score or other trust indicators. These may take into account account activity, transaction history, ratings, reviews, product activity, verification status, reports, feedback, successful or unsuccessful transactions, and other relevant signals.
A Trust Score is an informational risk and reputation indicator only. It is not a guarantee, certification, warranty, or assurance that a user or transaction is safe.
6. Listings and User Content
Users may create product listings and upload text, images, descriptions, prices, condition information, and other content. You are solely responsible for the accuracy, completeness, legality, authenticity, ownership, and suitability of your listings and content.
By submitting content to Connust, you grant Connust a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display, process, format, distribute, and otherwise use that content as reasonably necessary to operate, maintain, secure, promote, and improve the Connust service.
You must have the rights and permissions necessary to submit any content you upload. You must not upload content that infringes another person’s intellectual property, privacy, or other rights.
7. Marketplace Transactions
Connust is an intermediary platform and does not purchase, sell, own, inspect, authenticate, guarantee, or take custody of products listed by users.
Buyers and sellers are solely responsible for negotiating and completing their transactions. Connust does not currently hold, process, escrow, or guarantee marketplace payments. Payment arrangements are made directly between buyers and sellers.
Connust is not responsible for scams, fraud, non-payment, overpayment, counterfeit or defective products, inaccurate descriptions, failure to deliver, failure to receive payment, or other losses arising from transactions between users, to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.
8. Product and Seller Responsibilities
Sellers are solely responsible for:
- the legality and authenticity of their products
- accurate product descriptions, photographs, condition, and pricing
- having the legal right to sell the listed product
- communicating honestly with buyers
- delivery or collection arrangements
- warranties, guarantees, returns, refunds, and after-sale obligations
- resolving transaction-related issues with buyers
Buyers are responsible for evaluating listings and sellers, confirming relevant details before payment, and using appropriate caution when arranging transactions.
9. Delivery and Collection
Connust does not provide or guarantee delivery, shipping, collection, or logistics services unless Connust expressly introduces such a service in the future.
Unless otherwise expressly stated by Connust, all delivery, collection, shipping costs, timing, and arrangements are solely between the buyer and seller.
10. Bidding
Connust may provide bidding or auction functionality. Users are responsible for bids they submit and for complying with applicable listing and bidding rules. Connust may cancel, restrict, or remove bids, listings, or auctions where it reasonably believes there is fraud, manipulation, abuse, technical error, policy violation, or other risk to the marketplace.
11. Featured Listings and Paid Promotion
Connust is generally free to use. Users may have the option to pay to feature a product.
A featured product may receive a Featured label and increased placement among other featured products. Featuring a product does not guarantee a sale, a particular number of views, or any particular outcome.
Featured placement may be changed, paused, removed, or reordered at Connust’s discretion for operational, safety, policy, or technical reasons. Unless expressly stated otherwise at the time of purchase, featured placement is a promotional service rather than a subscription.
12. Prohibited Activities and Content
You must not use Connust to:
- commit, facilitate, or promote illegal activity
- sell or advertise unlawful or prohibited goods or services
- commit fraud, scams, deception, or financial abuse
- impersonate another person or entity
- create duplicate or fraudulent accounts
- manipulate ratings, Trust Scores, bids, listings, or marketplace systems
- post misleading, false, fraudulent, or materially deceptive listings
- harass, threaten, abuse, stalk, or intimidate other users
- post hate speech or content targeting protected groups
- distribute spam, malware, malicious files, or harmful content
- infringe copyrights, trademarks, patents, privacy rights, or other rights
- upload sexually explicit or otherwise inappropriate content where prohibited by Connust
- evade bans, restrictions, verification systems, or security controls
- interfere with or attempt to compromise Connust’s systems
- use Connust to facilitate scams or transactions that present unreasonable safety risks; or
- engage in conduct that materially harms the integrity, safety, reputation, or operation of the marketplace
Connust may prohibit additional categories of products or conduct through platform rules, notices, or updates.
13. Messaging and Communications
Connust may allow buyers and sellers to communicate through its messaging functionality. Users must use messaging responsibly and must not use it for harassment, spam, fraud, threats, prohibited transactions, or other abuse.
Connust may review or process communications where reasonably necessary to investigate reports, prevent fraud, enforce these Terms, protect users, or maintain platform security, subject to applicable law and the Privacy Policy.
14. Reporting, Moderation, and Enforcement
Users may report listings, accounts, messages, or other activity that they believe violates these Terms or presents a marketplace safety concern.
Connust may investigate reports through automated systems, manual review, or both. Connust may remove or restrict content, cancel or restrict listings, limit account functionality, suspend accounts, or permanently ban accounts when it considers such action appropriate.
Connust may take action without prior notice where necessary to protect users, prevent fraud, comply with law, address serious violations, or protect the integrity of the platform.
15. Buyer-Seller Disputes
Connust may, at its discretion, investigate disputes between users and may attempt to facilitate or mediate a resolution. Connust may also make platform-level decisions, including removing listings, restricting accounts, or taking other enforcement action.
Any such investigation, mediation, or platform decision does not make Connust a party to the underlying transaction and does not make Connust responsible for the buyer’s or seller’s contractual or financial obligations.
16. Payments, Fees, and Refunds
Connust does not currently process or hold payments for marketplace transactions. Buyers and sellers arrange payment directly between themselves.
Connust may charge fees for optional promotional features such as featured listings. Applicable pricing and purchase terms will be presented before payment.
Unless Connust expressly states otherwise for a particular paid service, payments for optional Connust services are non-refundable. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable law.
17. Intellectual Property
Connust and its applicable licensors own or control the software, platform technology, branding, designs, text, graphics, logos, icons, and other materials made available through Connust, except for user-generated content and third-party materials.
You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, reverse engineer, commercially exploit, or create derivative works from Connust’s protected materials except as permitted by law or with written authorization.
Connust reserves all rights not expressly granted under these Terms. Unauthorized copying, reproduction, misuse of the platform, or infringement may result in enforcement or legal action.
18. Privacy and Data
Your use of Connust is also governed by the Connust Privacy Policy, which explains how personal information is collected, used, stored, retained, and deleted.
The Privacy Policy is available at connust.com/privacy.html.
You acknowledge that Connust may process information necessary to operate the marketplace, including account information, phone verification information, identity verification information, profile information, listings, bids, ratings, messages, and security information, as described in the Privacy Policy.
19. Account Deletion
You may request deletion of your Connust account and associated personal data through the available account-deletion process.
Deletion is not immediate. A 30-day deletion period may apply to protect users and Connust against account takeover, fraud, abuse, and fraudulent deletion requests. During this period, Connust may retain the account and associated data necessary to preserve security and allow the deletion request to be cancelled where supported.
After the deletion period, Connust will delete information according to its Privacy Policy, except information that Connust is legally permitted or required to retain, or information that may reasonably be necessary for fraud prevention, security, dispute resolution, legal compliance, or enforcement of rights.
20. Third-Party Services
Connust may rely on third-party infrastructure and services, including Firebase for authentication, phone-number verification, and Google sign-in. Your use of third-party authentication or services may also be subject to the relevant provider’s terms and policies.
Connust may change or replace third-party service providers as the platform develops.
21. Availability and Changes to the Service
Connust is provided on an evolving basis. Features may be added, modified, suspended, or discontinued. Connust does not guarantee that the service will always be available, uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or compatible with every device or browser.
Connust may update these Terms from time to time. Updated Terms may be posted through Connust or the website. Your continued use of Connust after updated Terms become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms to the extent permitted by applicable law.
22. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Connust is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.
Connust does not guarantee the identity, honesty, reliability, quality, legality, safety, authenticity, condition, ownership, or performance of any user, listing, product, seller, buyer, or transaction.
Connust does not guarantee that users will avoid scams, fraud, losses, disputes, or other marketplace risks. Users are responsible for conducting their own due diligence and making their own transaction decisions.
23. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Hope Tech Innovations PVT LTD, Connust, and their respective officers, employees, contractors, affiliates, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive losses, or for loss of money, data, business, reputation, opportunity, or goodwill arising from or relating to your use of Connust.
This includes losses arising from transactions between users, scams, fraud, inaccurate listings, counterfeit or defective products, payment disputes, non-delivery, delivery failures, user misconduct, account compromise, or disputes between buyers and sellers.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under applicable law.
24. Indemnification
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Hope Tech Innovations PVT LTD, Connust, and their respective officers, employees, contractors, affiliates, and service providers from claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses arising out of or relating to your use of Connust, your content, your listings, your transactions, your violation of these Terms, your violation of law, or your infringement of another person’s rights.
25. Suspension and Termination
Connust may suspend, restrict, or terminate your account or access to the service if you violate these Terms, create safety or fraud risks, provide misleading information, attempt to evade enforcement, or otherwise engage in conduct that Connust reasonably considers harmful to the platform or its users.
Termination does not eliminate obligations or rights that by their nature should survive termination, including provisions relating to intellectual property, disclaimers, liability, indemnification, disputes, and applicable law.
26. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Pakistan.
Any legal dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of Connust shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Pakistan, subject to any mandatory rights or jurisdictional requirements applicable under law.
27. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unlawful, invalid, or unenforceable, that provision shall be enforced to the maximum extent permitted by law, and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
28. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with the Connust Privacy Policy and any additional rules or terms expressly incorporated by reference, constitute the agreement between you and Connust concerning your use of the service, except where additional terms apply to a particular feature or transaction.
